 Day 1
You will be picked up at the airport or your downtown hotel, and transferred via air conditioned mini-van, to your garden view room at the Osoita Lodge or Hotel Troy both situated in the safe, leafy suburb of Karen.  Go for a dip in the pool, nap, enjoy lunch at your leisure.  
At 5 PM Our Welcome Feast Commences! We will meet our fellow travelers & receive our welcome "Big Elephant Magic Art Backpacks"!

Day 2

A fun-filled day exploring the unforgettable sights of Nairobi! After a filling breakfast, we will head out in our air conditioned mini van, and head right for the leafy suburb of Karen. We will spend the morning visiting the world famous Giraffe Sanctuary (home of very rare Rothschild's giraffe), the Karen Blixen Museum!

We will enjoy lunch in a lovely, Utamaduni craft center, that includes many independent shops where you can see some of the items that make Kenya famous. 

After our return to the hotel for rest and relaxation we will come together that evening for our second, inspiring session!

Day 3

After a hearty breakfast, we say goodby to the hustle and bustle of Nairobi and take a remarkable journey outside of the city and down through the stunning landscape of the Great Rift Valley! One of the world's most breathtaking vistas, with a few photo stops along the way, keep your eyes open for zebra! We will arrive at our comfortable but rustic permanent tented camp in time for a leisurely lunch and chance to freshen up. This afternoon we take our first game drive into the savannah of the world famous Masai Mara! Be sure to bring your high-powered binoculars and your best zoom lens! We will return to camp in time for a group session around the camp fire!

Day 4
Today is a full day of game viewing starting with an early breakfast! Early morning is the best time to find one of the big cats hunting, all of the animals are more active in the morning before the heat of day! We will drive to the Mara river where will will find an abundance of Hippos and Nile Crocodile! We will enjoy our pre-packed lunch out in the bush we will return to the lodge before 4PM for showers and relaxation.

Day 5

After breakfast we will be escorted to a hill walk (or nature walk depending upon the level of fitness) by our local Maasai Guides, they will explain about all of the trees and plants that they use for medicines and celebrations, they will also show you how to use the traditional Maasai weapons, bow & arrow and the spear. The view from the top of the hills is spectacular. Return to camp for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, the Maasai guides will escort us to a local Maasai village where they will welcome you with a dance and take you into their homes for a little introduction to their rich, and fascinating culture.

Return for Relaxation.

Day 6

Another Full day of game viewing with an early morning drive, and pre-packed bush lunch! It's your change to spot the "Big 5" ( can you name them all?) Return to Camp for dinner,  another creative project and a chance to try your hand at some African crafts!

Day  7

Another Early morning and we are off and out into the bush for a final chance to see the diversity of African wildlife! Watch the sun rise, keep your binoculars handy and be sure to bring lots of camera memory as we witness the inspiring majesty of the African savannah in all her splendor! 

We will return for one last meeting an art session and an afternoon 

game drive!

Day  8
After a leisurely breakfast, we will say goodbye to the Masai Mara and return overland to Nairobi! Once in the city, we will have a chance to relax at our hotel- or do some final shopping. Guests who wish to can visit the world famous Kazuri Bead factory or visit Ocean Sole where they turn used flip flops taken out of the ocean, into lovely works of art!

Day  9

Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport or a city center location for your onward journey. Guests staying who will continue on with us, will depart for Amboseli Realm of Elephants and our Exclusive 3 day 2 night Extension- Details below!
