The elephant died of natural causes in 2017 with his ivory intact (his tusks weighed an astonishing 118lbs and 116lbs respectively). While such giant tusks used to be common, nearly 200 years of ivory poaching has meant that there are only 15 yes you read that right 15 of these stunning "Great Tusker's" left. We are truly the last generation that will share the earth with this type of elephant. We must work together to save all of the rest.
Each piece comes with an adoption card of a featured elephant you will be helping with your purchase and 20% is donated to the Global Sanctuary for Elephants.
I wanted to show the richness of these giant tuskers life through the color choices, as many colors as are in the natural African environment.
