Hows about a new species? Chimpanzees! Sweet little Jody was used for decades as a laboratory chimp for hepatitis research. She was poked and experimented on, and kept in a sunless cage barely big enough for her to turn around in. (IMAGE UNSCANNED)
Thankfully! Jody was rescued and now lives with her friends (other chimps rescued from the same laboratory) in a large natural setting, with a play room, hillside with ramps and fun things to do. She is a delightful chimpanzee and her personality has really started to shine at Chimp Sanctuary NorthWest.
